The Main Categories of Skateboard

    When we talk about a “skateboard”,we might actually mean all kinds of skateboard which has four wheels and a board which we call “deck”,but it can also mean a particular type of skateboard.

    Skateboards can be separated into three categories.

1. Cruiser Board:It is really small and light compared to the other kinds of skateboard in order to make it easy to carry.It’s main function is to serve as a vehicle,so it’s fast,which otherwise makes it hard for a beginner to adapt to.It’s wheel is softer,so you’ll not feel uncomfortable when the road is bumpy. 

2. Skateboard:It’s longer than cruiser board.In order to play tricks,it’s wheels are hard,which also makes itself shake hard on the bumpy roads,and the player’s feet will be numb.In short,it’s not appropriate to use as a vehicle but suitable for tricks.

3. Longboard:It’s the longest kind of skateboard.It has the advantage of both cruiser board and skateboard but costs the most,either.But considering its size and weight,it’s still not that convenience serving as a means of transportation. 

   I myself also want to buy a skateboard,but a basic skateboard(I mean that particular kind.)costs at least NT$2000!I think I’ll just have a cruiser board which is often made of plastic.
